What The Fellas Say

Tradition, elegance, poise. This sparkling Rosé from Bairrada is an old butler in a costume drama…reliable, unflappable, knows how to deliver. This Baga Rosé is one third of Geographic Wines’s espumante “La Volée” series and they’ve really nailed it. Peachy and stoney and toasty with a fine mousse. Fill your guests’ glasses and wow them when you tell them where it’s from.

What The Sommelier Says

Light peach colour, fine fizzy mousse and light notes of red fruit and citrus with hints of brioche. Long, fresh, mouth-watering. An all-terrain vehicle to happiness for any occasion.

Pairs well with…

…smoked salmon, pasteis de bacalhau, leitão da bairrada.

About The Winemakers

Geographic Wines was born from the dream of Nuno Morais Vaz and Daniela Matias to create unique wines, based on authenticity, social and environmental sustainability, the preservation and dissemination of the different terroirs and Portuguese wines. They wanted to create a travelogue of Portugal for their customer to journey around the country’s wine history without leaving their dinner table. Each production of Geographic Wines is an authentic expression of the region and grape and traditions from which it comes.

Region: Bairrada

Bairrada produces wines with high acidity and tannins, often aged in oak barrels to soften the tannins and develop complex flavors. The region’s soil is predominantly clay and limestone, which helps to retain moisture and gives the wines a distinct minerality.
