What The Fellas Say

If you took a a wedge of fresh, crisp white peach, delicately wrapped it in a gossamer thin lemon slice, sprayed it with gold dust, then put it in a space capsule and sling shot it around the moon so fast that it turned into wine, you’d have an idea of what this deeply layered, fruity and iconoclastic Pinot Gris/Arinto might taste like. It’s called Antithesis for a reason.

What The Sommelier Says

Fresh white peach and lemon zest on the nose, with a delicate minerality and subtle complexity from oak influence. On the palate, fruity and layered, with a bright acidity and a clean, persistent finish. An intriguing and well-balanced blend of Pinot Gris and Arinto.

Pairs well with…

…seafood, fresh salads, or Asian cuisine. A true study in contrast and harmony—just as the name Antítese suggests.

About The Winemakers

Antítese wines are a personal project by two winemaker friends who set out to blend two grape varieties that are seemingly difficult to harmonize—hence the name “Antithesis.” The duo consists of Ricardo Santos, known for his work at Malo Tojo (Setúbal) and Mestre Daniel (talha wine in Alentejo), and Gilberto Marques from Quinta de Pancas. Currently, two 2016 vintages are available, both structured, barrel-aged, bottle-matured for a year, and vinified collaboratively.
