What The Fellas Say

You’re lying among the wild grasses of a lemon orchard, head against the trunk of an old lemon tree. Noonday sunlight filters down through the leaves, glinting on the bright yellow fruit. You’ve not a care in the world, nowhere to be, nothing to do but soak up the warm sun and smell the flowers. Now put that in a bottle and drink it.

What The Sommelier Says

A very light crystalline appearance. On the nose, green fruits, wet stone and lemon notes combine elegantly. In the mouth, it is smooth with good acidity, and vegetal, earthy flavors underlying fresh citrus peel and green apple, for a pleasant citric finish.

Pairs well with…

…grilled langoustine with a buttery dipping sauce, grilled flakey white fish like sea bream, or crack it open with some light tapas.

About The Winemakers

This is a personal project by winemaker João Cabral de Almeida, producing wines in the Douro, Dão, and Vinho Verde regions. Under the motto “Wines with a sense of place,” the project focuses on creating wines that faithfully express their place of origin and the grape varieties used. João’s approach to winemaking is straightforward: “We spend the entire year focused on producing the best grapes. Then, in the winery, we aim to intervene as little as possible to let Nature express itself to the fullest.”
