What The Fellas Say

Don’t judge a book by its cover and don’t judge this wine either by its very understated label (does it scream cost-saver to you too?) or by its very pale straw colour that looks closer to a Pinot Grigio than an Encruzado. Just stick your nose in your glass and savour the intense nose, the typical Encruzado green apple, a wrapper of petrol and floral notes, then take a sip and fill your mouth with creamy, voluminous apple and peach and citrus.

What The Sommelier Says

Subtle notes of citrus and white peach. In the mouth it presents a refreshing minerality, yet staying smooth and elegant, with a complex finish.

Pairs well with…

…with a grilled fish, chicken piri-piri or a hearty seafood dish like cataplana de marisco.

About The Winemakers

Terras de Alter, a winery in Alto Alentejo, was founded in 2004 through a partnership between two traditional agricultural companies and winemaker Peter Bright. In 2008, the company built its own state-of-the-art winery, establishing itself as a key producer of quality wines in the Alentejo region. Acquired in 2021 by Ímpar, S.A., with new foreign investors, the winery gained financial autonomy and growth potential, focusing on producing superior wines. The company’s success is driven by nearly 20 years of Bright’s expertise and strong relationships with local grape growers, with plans to acquire its own vineyards and further enhance its team and operations.
