What The Fellas Say

A Seurat painting of a wine – light and shade and colour shimmering and dancing along the surface, shapes coalescing then slipping away along one’s tongue. A subtly-worked wine that brings out the freshness and complexity of the grape.

What The Sommelier Says

Discrete and delicate aroma, with citrus and wildflowers. On the palate it has saline notes, is fresh and textured, with a pronounced acidity, having a citrusy and persistent finish.

Pairs well with…

…a warm goat cheese salad tossed with wildflowers and zesty citrus vinaigrette, some fresh clams à Bulhão Pato, or a succulent, spice-kissed tandoori chicken.

About The Winemakers

This is a personal project by winemaker João Cabral de Almeida, producing wines in the Douro, Dão, and Vinho Verde regions. Under the motto “Wines with a sense of place,” the project focuses on creating wines that faithfully express their place of origin and the grape varieties used. João’s approach to winemaking is straightforward: “We spend the entire year focused on producing the best grapes. Then, in the winery, we aim to intervene as little as possible to let Nature express itself to the fullest.”
