Like a butter cookie wrapped around a little tiny demon. Smooth and creamy and slightly sweet with spicy peppers somewhere off in the distance dancing around a fire.

Green in color, this olive oil has a fruity aroma and notes of grass, olive leaf, and green apple . The flavour is fresh, striking a balance between spiciness and a hint of bitterness. It is smooth and has a delicious aftertaste. Only 6250 bottles were made.

About The Winemakers

Kranemann Wine Estates was founded by Christoph Kranemann, a German wine enthusiast and renowned North American surgeon, who fell in love with Portugal’s Douro region. His passion for wine began in the 1980s, deepened through travels to over 200 wineries, and became a reality after meeting his Portuguese wife in 2004. Frequent visits to Portugal led him to discover local grape varieties and the historic Quinta do Convento de São Pedro das Águias, a 12th-century estate he purchased for his wine and tourism project. In 2018, Kranemann Wine Estates was established in the Távora Valley, where high-altitude vineyards and schist–granite soils produce distinctive DOC Douro and Port wines. The estate focuses on excellence, originality, and showcasing the region’s unique terroir.

Olive growing, like wine growing, plays an important role at Kranemann Wine Estates. The Quinta do Convento Extra Virgin Olive Oil comes from olives harvested exclusively on our Estate. At Quinta do Convento de São Pedro de Águias we have around 3500 olive trees, aged on average over 40 years.
