What The Fellas Say

This Pinot Noir is unapologeticaly true to its origins in the chalky clay soils of Bairrada, the hands that gently harvested the grapes, the feet that macerated them, the natural yeasts that worked their magic. Take your shoes off and dig your toes in the rich dirt. Lift your face to the warm afternoon sun as the faint traces of ocean spray tickle your cheeks. Smell the pine trees on the hills nearby, the wild raspberries and creeping blackberries along the stone walls. This is a wine that will express itself for years to come.

What The Sommelier Says

A dusty, layered garnet, gentle nose of cherry, wild berries and a hint of spice. In the mouth, it is excellently poised between a bright acidity and smooth body, with a unique balance of red fruits and low tannins.

Pairs well with…

…something gently savory and creamy like a rucola and prosciutto pizza, melanzane a la parmigiana, or delicate meats like a roast quail.

Region: Bairrada

Region: Bairrada

Bairrada produces wines with high acidity and tannins, often aged in oak barrels to soften the tannins and develop complex flavors. The region’s soil is predominantly clay and limestone, which helps to retain moisture and gives the wines a distinct minerality.
