What The Fellas Say

Imagine stumbling upon a small magic box in an old souk. It’s inlaid with gold and smells faintly of Turkish delights and orange groves. It seems to buzz in your palm with some hidden energy and when you lift the lid, an explosion of colour and sound spills out in cartoon streamers. Inside, going absolutely bananas, is a tiny New Orleans brass band just wailing on their little instruments in a kaleidoscope of exuberance, the bass drum banging out time.

What The Sommelier Says

Straw colour with glints of lemon. A refined and elegant nose. Very fruity and fresh, with aromas of pear and white plum, and hints of pineapple. Pleasing minerality and well-integrated tropical fruit. On the palate, intense, full of aromatic notes reminiscent of dried fruits and stone fruits. Balanced acidity, complex, and with good structure. Long and refined finish.

Pairs well with…

…a plateful of perfectly golden fried calamari with a squeeze of lemon

Region: Douro

Region: Douro

The wines of the Douro Valley are known for their depth, complexity, and aging potential. The soil is predominantly schist, a type of metamorphic rock that retains heat and helps to ripen the grapes. The region’s unique terroir, combined with the use of indigenous grape varieties and traditional winemaking techniques, create wines that are rich, complex, and full of character.
