Primado “SB” isn’t polished—it’s elemental. Foot-trodden, wild-fermented, and left to rest in stainless steel before a year of quiet in bottle, it channels the raw pulse of the Dão. It drinks easy, but rewards attention. Bright and lifted, yet grounded by wild herbs, stony tannins, and dark berry depth, it’s a red that feels both ancient and alive. there’s something primal swirling underneath—dark fruit, a whisper of herbs, the crunch of granite soil. Let it breathe. Take your time. There’s weather in this wine—air, earth, memory—and it’s all there in the glass.

Clear, bright, with a beautiful violet color, characteristic of Tinta Roriz. Exuberant nose revealing plenty of fresh fruit and a soft bouquet of garden flowers to finish. In the mouth, its youth and freshness are cleary noted.

Nestled in Santa Comba Dão at Quinta do Coladinho—surrounded by the Estrela, Caramulo, Buçaco, and Lousã mountains, and near the Aguieira reservoir—Pereira de Melo Wines crafts small-batch, high-end wines from just two hectares of sandy-granitic vineyards. Guided by renowned oenologist Anselmo Mendes and his protégé Patrícia Santos, the team prioritizes minimal intervention, respect for biodiversity, and precision vinification combining traditional granite “pisa” and modern stainless steel fermentation.
