What The Fellas Say

A Vinho Verde wine dressed for dinner and with plenty of witty stories to entertain the guests. These hand-selected Loureiro grapes have received a classical education under the gentle tutelage of a refined de-stemming and pressing followed by 14 months rigorous training in French oak barrels on lees. Elegant, complex and very very unhurried.

What The Sommelier Says

Aroma of bay leaf, spices, and hints of white flowers. On the palate, it is elegant, with a complex and lively texture, lemon and bergamot zest, with a dry and mineral finish influenced by the granite base.

Pairs well with…

…roast turbot with a beurre blanc, a slow-cooked rabbit with herbs and white wine, aged Comté with honeycomb or a mushroom and truffle risotto on a quiet evening in.

About The Winemakers

This is a personal project by winemaker João Cabral de Almeida, producing wines in the Douro, Dão, and Vinho Verde regions. Under the motto “Wines with a sense of place,” the project focuses on creating wines that faithfully express their place of origin and the grape varieties used. João’s approach to winemaking is straightforward: “We spend the entire year focused on producing the best grapes. Then, in the winery, we aim to intervene as little as possible to let Nature express itself to the fullest.”
