What The Fellas Say

It’s the spirit of Rimbaud, mad and wild in the hills of Trás-os-Montes – with muddy boots, pockets filled with wild herbs and fingers stained with dark berries. It’s a half-remembered dream of pepper and spices and floral notes. It’s a rambling free verse of wet granite and ripe plum – thrillingly untamed – a wine for those who like their poetry bold, their landscapes dramatic, and their glass always half full.

What The Sommelier Says

Bright scarlet in colour with subtle purplish hues. The nose is expressive and well-defined, showing ripe blackcurrant and blackberry fruit, layered with floral notes of rose and violet, alongside gentle hints of vanilla and earthy complexity. The palate is poised and balanced, with fine, silky tannins and medium acidity providing structure and freshness. The finish is persistent and refined, marked by dark fruit, sweet spice and savoury, earthy undertones, confirming the wine’s character and sense of place.

Pairs well with…

…any fireside feast and a touch of the wild: grilled lamb, a hearty bean stew, wild mushroom risotto or some charred eggplant.
