What The Fellas Say

Like being first up the chair lift on a bluebird powder day, sunlight sparkling off the snow crystals blowing off the top of the mountain then making first tracks through a foot of fresh powder while listening to some old R&B (the original kind) on your airpods. In other words, fresh, deep, dry, groovy and just the right amount of sweet. Also, it’s got amazing cherry and red fruit and tobacco and delicately lingering sugars in the side of the mouth.

What The Sommelier Says

A deep ruby with rusted edges. On the nose, vegetal, fruity, and fresh, with aromas of cherry, tea, and black spices with hints of white pepper. Very mineral and appealing. On the palate, creamy, intense and aromatic with cherry and vegetal notes dominating. Herbal teas dominate the red fruits toning down the attack for a delicate and complex mouthfeel. Balanced acidity and elegant lingering finish.

Pairs well with…

…a quality charcuterie platter (think bresaola, prosciutto, thick creamy goat cheeses), black truffle risotto, a whole pheasant slow-roasted with apples and dried apricots
