What The Fellas Say

It’s a lychee and melon bonanza wrapped in creamy puff pastry and served with a twist of lime peel and hint of Cuban cigar. It’s a samba beat with a funk base on a Caribbean beach. It’s got punch and style and a wicked sense of humour and it will keep you smiling all the way to the second or third bottle.

What The Sommelier Says

Citrus-yellow in color, this wine reveals an intense and complex aromatic profile, marked by floral nuances and well-defined white-fruit notes. On the palate, it shows vibrant acidity and a dry, mineral character that brings great freshness. The floral tones and expressive fruit remain beautifully balanced, supported by a creamy texture and a long, persistent finish.

Pairs well with…

…a coconut lime shrimp curry; a piping hot gorgonzola and pear thin crust pizza; fresh Chilean Sea Bass, grilled to perfection with mango and habanero glaze.

About The Winemakers

Quinta do Rol is a centuries-old, family-owned estate in the Lourinhã region north of Lisbon, where favorable coastal climate, argillic-calcareous soils, and carefully managed viticulture support the production of high-quality wines, sparkling wines, fortified wines, and the renowned Lourinhã DOC Aguardente. Evolving from its origins in pear and apple cultivation, the estate now maintains around 120 hectares of vineyards and combines traditional knowledge with modern practices to craft elegant, complex, and long-lived wines marked by freshness, minerality, and salinity. As the largest local producer of grapes and aguardente—and home to the municipality’s only approved distillery—Quinta do Rol plays a leading role in one of the world’s three exclusive PDO aguardente regions, while cultivating both prestigious international grape varieties such as Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Sauvignon Blanc and notable Portuguese varieties like Arinto and Alvarinho.
